<p>In January 1957, A. Phillip Randolph writes a form letter encouraging recipients to participate in a conference, to be held at the Clara White Mission, focused on writing the African American history of Florida. The letter is typed on the letterhead of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters.</p>
