Introduction

This exhibit presents the history of the Eartha M. M. White Museum located in Jacksonville, Florida. The museum has served as a safe haven for individuals in need and as a preserver of the artifacts, documents, and legacy of the White family. The museum is housed at the Clara White Mission and through its preservation efforts, the museum continues to honor Eartha M. M. White’s lifelong commitment to community service and cultural heritage.

This explains the history of the Museum and highlights two documents that provide insight into its development. The materials used for this project include the documents  “Eartha M. M. White Memorial Art and Historical Resource Center” and “Museum Committee Objectives.” These resources provide essential background information regarding the museum’s history, mission, and objectives. They serve as a guide for accurately presenting the museum’s historical significance and ongoing contributions to the community.
